Publisher and data controller

David Béguelin publishes the swissdiagpro.ch website and the SWISSDIAG PRO Android app. He is the controller of the data processed by the website, described on this page. Contact is by e-mail.

Hosting in Switzerland

The website and the SWISSDIAG server are hosted in Switzerland by Infomaniak Network SA, Geneva (Switzerland). The contact@swissdiagpro.ch mailbox is also hosted by Infomaniak. Infomaniak acts as a processor, on behalf of the publisher.

What the website records

• No cookies, no audience measurement, no tracking tools, no advertising.
• No third-party resources: pages, images and scripts all come from swissdiagpro.ch; no font, video or map is loaded from another website. A link to another website (adapter maker, technical source) transmits nothing until you click it; that website then applies its own rules.
• No accounts, and no form that transmits data: what you type on the website stays in your browser (see Adapter page).

IP address. To send you a page, the server necessarily receives your device’s IP address and the request itself (page address, browser type). The website’s web server keeps no log of visits: this information is used to deliver the page and is then not recorded.

Only exception: if the server hits an internal error while handling a request, it may note it in its technical log, with the IP address concerned. This log is used only to fix the fault. It is limited to 30 MB in total: the oldest entries are deleted when this limit is reached.

What you enter on the Adapter page

On the Adapter page, the make, model, year and, if you enter it, the VIN (vehicle identification number) are processed by the page’s code, in your browser. The make, model and year are copied into the page address, after the # sign (this part is never sent to the server), so that the link keeps your choice; the VIN is never added to it and is not stored. None of this is sent to SWISSDIAG or to a third party.

If you write to us

An e-mail sent to contact@swissdiagpro.ch is used only to answer you and handle your request. It is not passed on to anyone. Do not send more personal data than needed: a VIN, a number plate or GPS positions are usually not useful.

The SWISSDIAG PRO app

The data processed by the Android app is described in the privacy policy. Its use is governed by the terms of use.

Your rights and the supervisory authority

You can ask which data about you is processed, and have it corrected or deleted: contact@swissdiagpro.ch.
